1966 289 with 302 heads?

so i have a 1966 4 barell v8 289 coupe. As i was working on the timing and replacing the valve cover gaskets i noticed that the heads said 302! should i be concerned? how will this affect gas milage and performance?... it also has an eddlebrock 1406 carb and an eddlebrock performer manifold.

What size socket do you use for replace the spark plug's ? Early 302 head's with closed combustion chamber's used the bigger plug's.
