68 302 over heating???

I just bought this 68 302. changed the radiator cap and water pump. It get up to temp and starts to boil and push out the over flow tube until it is completely drained. new thermostat too. Any ideas??? no leaks or coolant in the oil.

Flush the rad and engine good with a flush tee and garden hose. You might have bad head gaskets.

Could be the water pump is shot too. Also, did you replace the cap with the correct pressure relief?

Values may be to tight or hour timing out of spec. Check them both before driving it to far.

Can always boil it in a pot of water to see if it opens.

Re: 68 302 over heating???

I replace water pump first and nothing. At the same time which was great...flushed the crap out the radiator. But, it was the thermostat the guy never changed it like he told me he did. all is good for now lol
Thanks for all the info.
