Rockn69Stang is unknown around these parts
Im wanting to know if my car was originally a grande or just a regular coupe. I checked the first 5 #s of my vin and this is what I got

9- 1969
R- San Jose, CA
01- what I want to find out..
F- 302 2V V8 (210 hp)

My car does have the 302 2V V8 and is a 1969 so I know that's right but this is what the 01 (third and fourth #) gives me.

65A- coupe
65B- coupe (luxury interior)
65C- coupe (bench seat)
65D- coupe (bench seat/luxury interior)
65E- coupe grande (luxury interior)

So how do I find out which of the above codes my car is?

Thanks for any help!

I think on the second set of numbers on the tag specify that like the ones by the paint code but I'm not positive

The body code is on the door tag. You're looking for an "65E" for Grande. Here's a link
