Front seat covers

'm finally getting around to putting new seat covers and new foam on the frint seats. I did the back seat last winter. Can anyone tell me what the wires that are woven in the burlap are good for? Burlap needs to be replaced and I'm trying to decide if they are necessary.

Re: Front seat covers

They probably provide additional support. I'd leave them in there.

They are there to provide the nice horseshoe shape. You use hog rings to pull them down and provide the shape.

When you replace the burlap you have to reweave them into the new burlap. I did that on the passenger side. Took forever, and now I start the drivers side.
