Exhaust

Im lookin for a headerback exhaust kit for my 68 coupe it's a hoped up 289 and I'm looking for a dual exhaust system that exits in the stock location and has a medium-loud sound... Not the loudest but only a few ticks back any suggestions?

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....flow master super 40's. I spent months doing research trying to find just the right sound. And that's it ! There is nothing better for a muscle car sound that doesn't make your mustang sound like a overdone race car. It's just loud enough, if you want to give it some gas and make some noise you can. Same as u can just idle down the road and just get a light humming sound. Best investment I've made on my 67.

I'm telling you, no BS. My car sounds amazing. I've done so many car shows and just driving around town and it's been nothing but compliments on the exhaust. Even from other mopar and Chevy guys at the shows.

Gives me goose bumps every time. You won't regret it, plus it's so affordable.

With the flowmaster do you need to change header?

You can get a dual out header and exhaust from Classic Inlines. I think it sounds great, but not cheap. No more than a V8 though.
