Question No Brake Lights

I have a 65 6 cylinder coupe.
I am having trouble, trouble shooting my brake lights. I have traced it as far as my wiring to my brake switch. The switch works. I am not getting current to the plug that hooks to the switch. Where do I go from here?
Thanks

Re: No Brake Lights

Hey Mike, I am right up the road in Macon, welcome to the site! I had the same problems, and eventually just got frustrated chasing electrical gremlins. I replaced the rear wiring harness (fuel gauge, brake lights, and reverse lights) and haven't had a problem since. http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/ite...asp?T1=TAH1+01

Re: No Brake Lights

The wire that goes to your brake switch is a constant hot wire. It most likely comes from the back of the ignition switch. I'll take a look at my book and double check. did you check your fuses...?

Re: No Brake Lights

Is the wiring what came from the factory? Might be better to replace it and go on.

Re: No Brake Lights

the green wire with the white stripe is the one that has power so follow it back and find out where the problem is....

Thanks. Looks like the problem is in the turn signal switch. I'm changing the whole thing.
