just bought a tci c4 tranny for my 1976 mustang II cobra, motor is 302. can someone tell me how many quarts it will take to fill, i know it takes type f fluid, would synthetic oil be better? i only want to do this once. thanks

My Chilton says 5 qts if torque converter and tranny is completely dry. other wise add 3 qts and warm up and shift throught the gears then put it in park and fill to in between marks, do not overfill, use Type F.

You might check with TCI about synthetics...
