1959 Ford Fairlane?

What is a 1959 Ford Fairlane worth now? All origional (not sure about motor.....it's a V8), in mint condition, was garaged for years. My father gave me his 2 antique cars. The other is a mint condition 1973 ford mustang.

The 1959 Ford is not too popular unless its a convert or 2 dr or the infamous retractable hardtop convertible Skyliner. 1959 is also the first year for the Galaxie so it really depends on model and options. The V8 that year was the 292 or the 352 you will know a 352 because the distributor is in the front the 292 is in the back.

One of the best ways to find out value is to really ask an appraiser but they tell you what they feel is the gold book value and that is not really what people will pay. Also look on Ebay for comparable cars. Another great source would be the Galaxie Club of America which deals in all full size Fords from 1959 to 1974 so they could help or you could find the next new owner. Actually a very cool car.

I sent you some links about the club and the car.

insurance companies and dealerships will use one of two sources.Either NADA or Kelly Blue Book. I would check them both out and use it as a baseline.
