If it is u-joint, how expensive is that to fix at a garage/shop? The car is a 4 cylinder automatic.

So far everyone has got a little good info for you...

Would need to test drive it and/or get it up in the air to narrow down the problem...

If its the U-Joint on the driveshaft you might can hear it ping when you put it into gear also....

But vibration on a 75 model MII could be many things Front or rear... Tires, brakes, steering, drive shaft rearend etc... get someone to look at it with you... If you have a machanic friend try to get them to come over and look at it with you to see if it OK to drive or if it needs towed in.. If its a lite vibration take it to him or her....

Drive Safe.... Good Question....

u joints are cheap by comparison but a vibration can be caused by a lot of things such as a bad tire
