Gas tank problem help?

you should drop the tank, i know this isnt easy, however, dropping the tank will help you remove all the fuel from the tank. Then i would take the tank to a radiator shop and have then clean it and weatherize the tank. this will prevent any deposits that are on the inside of the tank from harming your fuel pump. This is also a way to inspect the tank for any damage that may have occured due to sitting for so long.
