If I purchase a 1965 Mustang Fastback in N.J. can it pass inspection?

Even if it needs rstoration to pass, is it possible?

Probably not. New Jersey is among 28 states, including Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware, that are required by the federal Clean Air Act to implement an enhanced emissions testing program.

The enhanced is brutal!

Emissions testing is not required on vehicles that old. I will need to have working brakes, lights, horn, tires, steering etc.

You should also look into vintage car insurance, much cheaper than using your regular insurance.

they use 1965 regs if it has a 65 moytor...easy to pass..in many states no inspection on antiques.
