1964 1/2 Mustang Convertible value?

I have an early 1964 1/2. I am not sure of the code, but I know it was early because it has the 260 V8 which was only an option in the early production of 64. It has A/C. I have the upholstry and am going to re do it soon. The top is fairly new. The body is straight and in good condition. Bondo on both rear quarter panels which I have considered getting fixed. The paint is Poppy Red and looks great when the car is cleaned up. I keep it in my garage and drive it maybe once or twice a week to the grocery store about 10 miles round trip. Needs new shocks and suspension work. Dash is intact. It was a show car about 17 years ago, but has definetly seen better days.

How many convertibles where made for the 1964 1/2 model?

Some idiot the other day offered me $3000 and told me I would never get more than that. I told him there was no way I would sell him the car for under $10,000.

You have something there. Go to a Mustang club and speak with the people there, they will give you all the info you need. In fact, they may even be willing to help you fix it up if you join the club. It could be a lot of fun adn you will meet some great guys. Good luck. You have a winner there.
