Leaking wiper spindles?

I have a 1966 Fastback Mustang which I hire out (see The Open Road - Classic Sports Car Hire. Vintage and Classic Sports car Rental in Warwickshire The Cotswolds and the West Midlands for details) and it is leaking rain into the car onto the driver's legs. I am trying to track where it is coming from. There don't appear to be any missing grommets in the bulkhead and I think the windscreen surround is OK.

The only thing I can think of is that it may be coming in from round the wiper spindles. These fit through the bodywork and there isn't any obvious rubber seal or grommet around the spindle. I don't have a workshop manual so I don't know if there should be a seal or not.

Any ideas?

Re: Leaking wiper spindles?

i know exactly what it is,

those are common about holding water in those vents on the wiper cowl, and then they rust, you probably have a pinhole now, check some mustang restoration books, they make some covers for the vents that you just clip on for rainy days,

doing body work/paint in the past, ive done dozens of them, $2K to fix on average but the cover is fairly cheap which is what i figure ur looking for, is can also be resolved by pouring some type of clear epoxy into the vents using a small funnel, if the hole isnt too big.just pour until it all levels out and its never noticeable in there and lasts for years.they never leak around the wipers or grommets.

Thanks for an incredibly quick response, I'll give it a try.
