It came out of 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe, at least thats what the title says, the car shows promise that it is a 1965. Please help.

My Google search wasn't successful, but I can tell you that it is a 72 motor. (D is for the 70s and the 2 is the second digit of the year, ie 72).

A motor swap in a car that old is not uncommon, my 67 Mustang had a 65 289 when I got it 15 years ago, then a 69 302, a 74 351W, and finally a 2006 FRPP crate motor.

that is NOT a 65... D2 tells me 72 was the beginning of that production. so no earlier than that.

It's a 302, cast in 1972.

The engine is swapped. At this time you need to decide if you want to restore to original stock condition or to start modifying it since you do not have the original motor.
