1966 mustang "c"?

I am having trouble finding out how much project car 1966 mustang "C" would be worth... It has very little rust but needs lots of work.. .all the stuff is there to work with including spare tranny.

The thing is I am having problems pricing on ebay or craigs as not many seem to be project cars . the running ones are way beyond what I would think a project shoudl be.

ARe there any pricing tools out there like edmunds that deals with classics?
Also where do I find out the significance of C vs. A coding????

A search of Hemmings Motor News, www.hemmings.com, which is the bible for collectible car values, turned up two 1966 Mustangs that could be considered project cars. The sasking price for each was $3,500, and one of thjose was a 6-cylinder model.

A C code is the standard 2V 289 V-8. Is it a fastback or a coupe?

You need to take somebody with you who knows mustangs. Contact the local mustang club and ask for one of the Tech. Advisers to see if (s)he can help you look at the car.

Restomod, restoration, daily driver; each has it's own price tag and value. If you want to learn a LOT about mechanics, this is an outstanding opportunity to do so. Don't do this for the value, do it for the journey -- that's what project cars are really about.

A good C code body is worth about $1000 without a engine or tranny, so about $1500 with or more depending on condition.. A code is the 4v with 225 hp.. C is 2v with 200 hp..last letter in the serial number before the numbers...

Try a OLD CARS PRICE GUIDE available at book stores, it will price it from $1500 to $2500....
