Need information on 1964 1/2 through 1968 mustangs....?

I want to purchase a mustang through these years. Probable leaning more towards the 67 and 68, but that's not for certain. I don't know a lot about those years of mustangs and would like to know as much as possible before making the commitment. I want to know what is the BEST mustang options to have OR what not to have. I would like the car to be top of the line for the year it was produced. So, if you know of website or are a mustang fanatic, please help me out.

Here is a good group to join, read the archives, check out the photos, files and links. then ask the members any unanswered questions you may have..

oh, the best option to have is either a soft top or a fastback, next is a V8, then a 4 speed tranny ! they are all expensive options..

Here's a tip, watch out for fraudulent auctions on Ebay, I saw one this morning, the seller had the wrong vin for the car described.. so it's best to only buy in person. if you can't afford to go look at it, then you can't afford the car..

I would consider 66 "stang" Before purchasing anything make sure the floor (pans) are not just patched because they would have to be replaced ($$$) before you step into it. 6 cylinder automatic would probably be found on e-bay

64 1/2 and 65 have the most collector value.
