Car shakes after oil change on a 1966 Mustang?

I have a 1966 Mustang, drove great before I got an oil change. After the oil was change I started the car and it shook real bad. I got to a light and then it stalled. If I put it in reverse it stalls. I checked the filter- its on tight, the spark plugs, the alternator, carb, points- my car still has points not electric ignition, and wires with a wire tester. The engine acts like it being pulled down. I just can't think of what it is. Any help would be great!!!

They could have grossly over-filled with oil. Might have put 50 weight oil in it. 50 weight oil is not going to make it shake, it will just suck alot of power and MPG's out of it. Could you by some small chance have a bad plug wire, cross plug wire, cracked spark plug..? Any of these will give it a hell of a miss.

You can change the points to electronic without changing the dizzy. Protronix has Ignitor kits that bolt in the place where the points did. You'll never look back. Just takes a little bit of wiring.

Check the distributor cap is secure and the plug leads are pushed down (seated on the cap). Also the connections at the ignition coil are secure.
