A question about the 1976 mustang hatchback?

with the mustang model im thinkin of it has like a window right above the head of the driver and the passenger. they arent connected and i find it strange. is there a purpose to these?

They were called T tops and were quite common around then. Gm and Ford had them

I think that you are describing a T-Roof.
These glass panels are removable.

Are you talking about T-tops? They're removable panels on each side (usually glass) that when removed make the car kind of like a convertible with the top down.

Yeah those are t-tops. Its kinda like a compromise between a coup and a convertible. Alot of performance cars had them in the 70s and 80s.

T-top probably, they were pretty popular around that time, haven't you ever seen smokey and the bandit, the trans-am in that had a T-top too
