1965 mustang with a bent rod, how much to repair?

Bought a mustang from someone who said it was overheating, and it does, but there is also a tick tick tick in one of the valve covers. My mechanic tried to "tighten the rockers down and hit them with a hammer" but noise is still there. If it is a bent rod how much would it cost parts and all to get it going again?

Bent push rod isn't a big deal, just pull the valve covers, remove the rocker arms, & pull out the push rods. Been a while since I've priced push rods, but check .. SummitRacing.com .. or .. Jegs.com.
