Getting windows tinted this friday

I am getting my windows tinted this Friday. I am thinking about getting either 5% or 10% for the back window, to hide my speakers and keep out the heat, and anywhere from 20%-35% for the side windows. Any thoughts? Anyone have any of these percent tints?

first you need to know the tint laws in your state. in arizona for instance the darkest you can go on the front doors windows is 35%. from there back though you can paint the windows with krylon if you want.

as for the tint level you want, going with limo tint on the rear window is nice to hide things in the interior, but understand that it does make the rear window very hard to see out of at night particularly. personally i would go with what ever is legal in your area on the front doors, and go with 20% on the rears, if legal.

my taurus for instance has 35% on the front and 20% everywhere else.

one more thing, if you can, find a tint shop that uses formula one film, and step up to the pinacle film, it is the best.

there again, you need to follow your states laws regarding tint. i know its cool to have 20% on the door windows, but it is also hard to see out of them at night, and cops do write repair orders for tint that is too dark.

If you drive with the windows down a lot then go 20%, imo thats the best darkness. I'm in Cali where you can't have tint on the fronts but i'm probably going to get 20% all around because i drive with the windows down pretty much whenever its above 60 degrees, which is about 10 months out of the year lol.

Missouri law is 35 at drivers windows, no requirements for rears. On my 06 I have 35 on doors and 5 on rear sides and rear window. Honestly, I was going for the blackout look but in hindsight, I would recommend going with 20 as 5 just seems too dark. That being said, I have louvers on it, and what is behind me is losing anyway...unless it is flashing red....
