67 fastback project

Guys my friend has a 67 fastback shell he wants to just give me. They go for like 5-8k from what I've seen. But my question is to anyone who's done it I wanna make a full Eleanor anyone know how much that would be or should I buy a working 67 what's cheaper.

Depending on the condition, it will prob cost easily 40-50k for a descent one. Is it just the shell or do you have some of the suspension and diff, tranny??

Waste of money if you ask me. I got my 68 fastback for 8grand and it came with everything. Owner said the motor was seized and he didn't know what was wrong. Bought it and dropped the tranny and he had a bad starter that all the bearings came loose and was wedged between the starter and flex plate. Spent about 120$ in parts and now is running. Buy one that is more complete

I got my car and it was basically the the drive line iv replaced just about every pice of sheet metal they way i look at it is you can take it any direction you want but an Eleanor body kit is anywhere from 5-10k really full suspention prob like 7k another 2-3 on interior and 500-10k for paint and body work and for motor and trans it depends on what you do with that you can drop 10k on a motor easily do you need all that ? You could prob be into that car for under 10 if you go with a cheap paint job and you could have her running and driving

Keep it and restore it. I bought a 68 fastback 3 years ago and I'm at the drive line stage. Never regretted it for a second. Check out my build.
