I've got a 67 w/ 289 and a C4. Pulled the tranny and took it to a shop for rebuild. Got it back all nice and silver paint job. Now trying to put it back. I get about 3/8" from the bell meeting the engine block and the converter studs are hitting the cover plate.
Could they have put a different bell on it? Are they different? Not sure what else could be the problem. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.
