67 mustang engine help

I just recently purchased a 67 mustang it has a 302 bored .30 over to a 306 and has a hydraulic cam and 1.6 roller rockers, 351 heads weiland intake, edelbrock 650 carb 4 bl an 351w heads. I need help fine tuning, finally got it tuning after taking it all apart but it's running hot, changed thermostat to a 160drgree. And also noticed the back passenger side header pipe is glowing (has long tube headers) also has a tick on that side, could that be the rollor rocker not adjusted right?

Sounds like your exhaust valve is opening too soon. During the power stroke. Also could be that valve is stuck open it not completely shutting due to some mechanical interference such being bent. Pull the valve covers, set it to TDC and go through the valve adjusting sequence and see if that exhaust is messed up.
