Just wondering what ev1 is doing with their car. Road trip, repairs, car show, odering new parts, making up a wish list, etc. Today I installed a new carburator and rear tires. The carb is a 750 cfm double pumper with mechanical secondaries from AED. Rear tires are BFG drag radials. Hope the 1/8th and 1/4 mile times improve for the $'s spent. How about yours?
Taking the Stang out to stretch her legs a bit. She'll be couped-up all winter, so I gotta get the most driving time in that I can. Driving about an hour away to shoot sporting clays with a buddy. What could be better; classic muscle cars and shooting guns...?

Some dip sh!t left a raspberry jolly rancher on my back window and it melted on ... Dumb f&cks underestimated the glorious power of "goo gone" lmao :thumb:
Got my replacement crank pulley and balancer puller today. I'll pull the old balancer off in the morning. The new balancer arrives tomorrow, hopefully early in the day so I won't have to wait until Thursday to install it.
I've got my fingers crossed that all this gets rid of the vibrations so I can move in to other things. If it doesn't, that means there is a flywheel issue, much more of a pita.
Got my new balancer on last night. Today, I got the crank pulley back on and fired her up. No vibrations!
Well, some at lower speeds while she was cold, but that's from running rough cold. Once she warmed up a little, she ran like a sewing machine. This is the first time I've felt like I could give her some gas without worrying about her shaking apart. I'm such a proud papa!
Also figured out why I had no brake lights - one bulb was bad, and the other socket was missing its ground. So a trip to the parts store to get some bulbs is in my near future. Anyone know the # bulb I should be looking for? Quicker for me to ask than than looking it up : )

We had my 12 yr old niece over for the first time since I got the car. Walking thru the garage, she looks over, considers it for a second, then gives a nod of approval and says "cool car" before continuing into the house.
I do not but I can give you an idea, the exterior is going to be red with the airfoil bumpers, hood scoop black, and chrome all black; even the grill will be red because the chrome trimming it will be black. I will be installing side scoops, those will be black too. the interior is going to be all black with red highlights, like the chrome on the door panel and I'm not sure what else inside there except for the carpet and headliner will be red also. I am going to be buying some classic mirrors to replace the sports ones, I am going to have those black also. All the chrome is going to be powder coated I think.
Beat the hell out of the front leaf spring bolt, but it wouldn't budge; it's frozen into the sleeve. Penetrating fluid, impact gun, even got it red hot, but no go. Time for sawzall.
Turns out angle grinder with a cutoff wheel is my best friend today. Got the threaded end off, but didn't have room to get to the other side without getting too close to the framerail. Since the leafs are shot anyway and I have the replacements standing by, I cut right through the eye to get access to the bolt/sleeve. That's as far as I got before kickoff.
I haven't done anything per se, but I just ordered a set of roush axle backs to crack open the mod on my 2014. I also got a new shifter knob. Not a fan of the stock one. Feels cheap. Next up is rear quarter window louvers, shelby stripes in matte black, and hopefully a gt500 rear valance kit at some point
I might consider that same option. I spent about 3 hours the other night watching plasti dip videos on youtube to make sure that it really is a temporary product.
I'm right in the middle of changing wheels and tires from Redline tires and mags to whitewall radials (better drivability) and brand new spoked hub caps. I had to order another steel rim, so as soon as it comes in I'm taking her down to the tire store and making the switch. Today was a beautiful day in Oklahoma City. Drove the Saleen a bit, too.
