If you are going to replace the factory wiring, do yourself a favour and just get reproduction harnesses. I am trained as an auto electrician, have my own small classic auto repair business and I can't tell you how many times I get calls about wiring a car using a painful (painless) wiring system. They are crap. They have no harness disconnects, they give you a bunch of rolls of wires and expect you to know what to do, and their fuse panels leave much to be desired as they are one long bank with predetermined amount of "hot, acc, and on (running) fuses (when they get power).

Which harness would recommend? Because you want to get a modern fuse box, the original is crap and very limited. Does anyone make a modern version with disconnects?

What kind of wiring?

Painless or painful in his words haha can be good if done correctly. He is right about the spaghetti it comes like and the lack of instructions but if you lay it all out like it was in your car its not to bad. I got one for my car and at first there was problems but that is expected from a fresh new wire from a rookie i got the updated version of the wiring and haven at any issues with it after i fixed a couple connections. Id recommend the harness if you want to modernize you car. It already has wiring for electric fans and power windows 3rd brake light. The only thing it didnt come with was a connector for the neutral safety switch
