lol, nothing to lose if you're retired and your wife kicks you out of the house for 10 hours a day and your bored.

If you can afford it, your time may be better spent on other areas of the car that need attention and are much harder and expensive to replace. What part of the country do you live in?

Southwest Georgia, don't mind spending the time on it, I enjoy working on the car no matter which part it is. Will get to rest of it in due time..LOL
Retired, No...I wish. I'm only 39 so I have a while yet. I told my wife when I do retire I think I'd like to do a complete frame off restore of another vehicle tho..

SW FL, near Lake Okeechobee. Do you go to the Hot Rod Turkey run in Daytona?

I'm 40 btw so no retirement for me either yet. I only get to work on mine a couple days a week if I'm lucky. I have about 90% of the money saved to complete it and hoping to have the rest by the time I need it.

I don't know how far of a drive to Daytona you are, but it is definitely something you should go to. They average about 5000 cars in the car show and car corral (cars for sale), and one half of the infield are parts for sale any other half show cars. They had over 3300 preregistrations alone last year.

I've only missed 2 in the last 20 years and the show is over 40 years old.

I will be at Amelia island, spring break vacation during those dates, so would actually be closer to Daytona than from where I live ...May try to ride down and check it out

I have never been to the spring show, I always go to the show on Thanksgiving day weekend. I'm not sure how big the spring show is. My car should be ready for the fall show. I will probably bring it with me and stick a for sale sign on it.

Looking good, clean body lines from what I can see. Are you gonna get all the primer on and then wet sand before base coat?

So far I've only put on the etching primer. Next week I'll put on the next stage of primer and start sanding and adding body filler where needed. I picked up an original date stamped 69 shaker hood for $125 last weekend so now I have to sand another hood down to bare metal and prime that too next week. It's coming along slowly but surely.

Sweet man! Shaker hood will look awesome on her! I'm gonna try to paint mine myself, just wish I had a bigger area to do it in...$125 not bad, was it in good shape?

Was in really good shape. My father-in-law and I are doing all the work ourselves including paint and interior and motor rebuild. He used to own a Mustang restoration shop so he has rebuilt many a Mustang. I luckily have him to help and a warehouse to keep and work on it in.

I keep my Mustang at my work / warehouse. So this part of the week sucks because I work a little over an hour away, so I only get to work on my car during the week and only when I don't have any jobs going on.

Yea that would suck for the weekends, we were gonna build a carraige house 2 car garage , but didn't....man I wish I had that thing built now, would have plenty of space. I'm working on mine in our 2 car garage that my wife parks in too. Thank goodness she drives a mini cooper...LOL

My house has neither a garage nor carport so the only real option I have is my warehouse that I also you as my place of work.
