That's the plan. I will have to do some thorough planning before hand. I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger and buy it tonight. As soon as i start to install I will let you guys know. I wouldn't be getting very far with this car without the help of everyone on the forum. Slowly but surely it's getting closer.

So get this.... i tried to place an order online and it keeps saying "wrong card" so I call and get nobody. Call again and finally get somebody and they tell me they are having issues with the system and can place an order over the phone. So I agree to that and they are trying to tell me my account with them doesn't exist.... The one that I am literally signed into right now. He goes on to day that the system may have charged ne multiple times ( which is not possible anyway because its a gift card that doesnt cover the entire purchase) .I'm very dissatisfied with CJ. Very stressful experience with them. I was surprised I didn't lose my cool. Even though it may or may not be their fault it is extremely inconvenient and it should not be this hard to deal with a company. Back when I had my 01' I had never had this issue with AM. I wish they carried classic parts. I am trying to do business with CJ but they make it difficult.

Strange I have only had good customer service from them. But this does sound really annoying.

Weird. I ordered a fan shroud from CJPP yesterday, no issues. I do notice that once when I logged in, it didn't have my acct info - maybe they are having tech issues.

FWIW, when I bought my 67, it had the pertronix ignitor III with FT coil and I haven't had ignition issues. I've had plenty of other issues, but the ignition has been fine unfortunately though I didn't set it up, so I can't be of much help there.

I ordered the Ignitor iii, corresponding coil and the power relay so I don't have to dig around in my electrical. Should be here by early next week. I have some things to work on in the mean time. Thanks for the feed back on your Ignitor iii unit. I'm hoping it will solve my issues.

So it gets even better.... i called again today to verify my order because the email I was sent has had a different number than the one on the computer and I was caught off guard by how condescending and rude the person on the phone was. How very said. I don't think they will ever be getting another dime from me. I had my entire restoration planned out through them. Pathetic.

I was pretty shocked. I have always thought they were great. I am still hoping that maybe I have bad luck twice in a row or something. We will see when it comes time to order something else. Just found it to be very surprising that they were so disappointing.

Screw them. Cancel and order from someone else. Some companies get too big and forget customers are the reason. There are plenty of mustang parts companies. You should try Dallas mustang or Johns mustang (Houston). I've had good luck with both. You'll probably get the parts faster since you're in Kansas. No sense being abused for spending your own money.

And now I need to calla gain because the order in question Is shipped and on its way (he told me it wasn't even though I got tracking info) and I still have not had my card charged (should be charged before order ships) and the order number on my profile still does not match the one I received in my email.... (he said it was just a "frozen" screen and I am incorrect) he said I mist have not reloaded the Web page...... because I must be a complete idiot apparently. So call #3 coming up.

Update... Okay so now I am the jackass. I decided to check one more time before I called and to my complete surprise, within the last hour or so everything is now normal. How about that? He was correct but his time frame was way off as well as the way I was spoken to. Good thing I didn't call again!

The fuses look good to the eye. My friend told me not to bother with them yet. However, I do have replacement fuses for it. Just not installed.

Actually I think I have some type of electrical diagnostic tool that a family friend let me borrow when I got my mustang. I just have no idea how to use it amd haven't given it much thought yet.

This install has been hell. It's supposed to be easy. Nothing is ever easy when I'm doing It. I had to break the screws on vac advance they were stuck so bad.

It's a 47 year old car Josh. It's a good idea to soak everything with some PB Blaster or something like that to loosen things up.

Yeah. I didn't see a way to really soak it since they were attached to the distributor. But I finally have the new unit in. I still need to put the advance back on, tighten down the unit, wire the unit to coil and such, and install the relay to supply full 12v. And I also need to change my fuses. Since that took 3X as long as it should have I will probably have to do the rest sometime that I have time. Car will definitely not be ready when I want it to be. Moving too slow

Haha, when planning projects on my car, I outlined how long I think things will take and how much the would cost.

I'm getting better but usually I greatly underestimate both.

Okay guys, so I cannot figure out how to wire the ignition... The ignition switch at the dash has quite a bit of wires coming out of it the white wire that goes through into the engine bay is hooked to nothing. Up until now I have had to start start the car by jumping the solenoid. What color should the wire be and how the heck to I make my car start from the key?? Any diagrams at all? Thanks

As an update, the electronic ignition is pretty much hooked up but it will not work yet. I have not installed the relay yet... Mainly because I have no idea how to. :/

Try the link to the PDF at the end of this discussion:

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ang-coupe.html

I've been using that diagram to chase down my tail light issue. It doesn't show you what runs where, but it will show you the color of every wire. Good luck!
