I did get that pig tail installed. I think what I need mostly right now is the yellow wire to fuse box and the. It looks like everything in the engine bay needs re wired ignition wise and maybe even gage wise since they don't work. Damn I just don't know

So does anyone know a place where I can purchase only the wires that I need? That are colored correctly?

Since you've got several harness issues, it'll be cheaper and much faster to just install an aftermarket complete harness. It'll fix everything and give you a modern fuse box with real fuses.

I just can't afford a 5-7 hundred dollar harness. Damn. I asked a friend about seeing if he can re wire it for me. He builds cars often (chevy) though.

Attach a test light to the +terminal of coil.
Start the engine.
Watch the test light while waiting for the engine to quit.

If the power to the coil stops when the engine quits ..you know you have a issue with harness.
If the test light stays lit when the engine stops...you know its not an primary ignition issue

Get back with the results.

Btw. ..
I finally got to post on here.
I've been trying for months and a while to try and help you.

I'm a troubleshooter not a parts replacer unless required.

Yes, does that harness include all the ignition bits and parts to the battery? I was under the impression it was for other things based on the title. Haha. But I could be way off.

Have you considered a good condition used harness to replace it?

I have one here for a 68 289 A/T.
