Yes, and yes. Just about anything is possible. If you are looking for a straight bolt in affair, maybe not. But you can make the axle fit pretty easy, as well as the front seats. The dashboard might take some creativity, but I am sure it can be done.

Short answer is yes.

Long answer, is you will need to address the mounting points of the rear axle. The old mustangs used leaf springs, the new ones use multi-link suspensions. So you will have to either convert the axle to the car's suspension, or upgrade the car to the axle's suspension. Either way, it's a good time to go to a three link/torque arm and panhard bar with coilovers. As for the front, I would assume that you could swap out K-members relatively easily. Fabrication will be required, I'm sure. But overall, it should be pretty straightforward. The interior and dashboard and seats are going to be a gigantic pain in the @$$, but once again, should be do-able.

I know it's not a Mustang, but here is a 1955 Cadillac with a CTS-V engine/tranny/suspension/interior swapped into it. Just saying that what you are talking about is possible, people put the new technologies and comforts into the classic bodies all thetime.
