Upgrading 14" wheels

I'm going to upgrade the OEM 14's soon. It's a DD, but still want some performance, NO 22" stagecoach wheels! I was thinking 17 or 18. Does anyone have any suggestions based on personal experience? It's a 67 coupe, 289/ auto.

I have 15" on mine - still looks stock, but you have wheel options.

My opinion is that larger than 17 just doesn't look right on first gen mustangs.

I agree, I'm leaning to 17, seems like there are a lot of tires to choose from with 17.

You are going to have the most options available with 17s and up as far as wheel choices.

I also agree, NO bigger than 17's. Looks cheesy. I'm on 16's and the car looks good. I also lowered the stance. But just stock, 17's look amazing and plenty of room underneath.

Im on 17x8s with staggered tires and lowered 1 in the back and not sure in the front and don't have problems with rubbing. My tires are 215/45 fronts and 235/50s rear

Whatever wheel you do decide to get make sure there's no bare aluminum, I have the torq thrust d wheels and they get water spots and are a pita to polish out

I know it's tough in a garage, but can you get one from farther back showing the stance? That really helps me visualize how the wheels work with everything.
