Need a little help with a part name

Howdy all well I leveled out the 68 and started looking at the repairs I need to do to the body. I need a new piece of body steel the part that goes between the rear quarter and the extension. I found it for the Fastback but not a Coupe

Mustang Quarter Panel Extension Bracket Passenger Side Fastback 1967-1968 | CJ Pony Parts

I think I can save mine but if not I need a plan "B"

If you look at these pictures next to the handle of the sand blaster you will see what I need. Thanks

It's called a taillight panel, it's like 100 bucks. It's worth the extra few bucks to get the dynacorn, I needed one too

Here is a better picture of the part. I have a new quarter skin with out this piece and a new tail light piece because it was hit many years ago. I bought these skins two years ago and they are Scott Drake's. I have been buying parts over the last few years along with tools to do this job. I think I can save this piece it appears to sit between the QRTR and the tail.

Thanks I have not called them yet but will soon. I looked at the extensions but they didn't look correct. I will let ya know when I get ahold of them.

Alrighty CJ Pony does not carry this part it is called a Quarter Panel Extension Bracket So now I have to find one at another site that sells Scott Drake. Thanks

Well Scott Drake does not make this part either. I bought this skin a few years ago so there is no returning it. I will have to repair it.

Thanks Mike

Try this place:

http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCa...extensions.htm

I've never ordered from this company, but they seem to have the parts.

You are trying to find the sheet metal under the extension right? I couldn't find it for a coupe either. Looks like you'll need it off a parts car.

If it's the sheet metal underneath, that is welded in - to replace, you'd need a new taillight panel and some weld work.

And it looks like the fender could use some love

Ha! I just reread your post, sorry it sounds like you have the taillight panel.

Ok so it's the piece in between the taillight panel and the quarter panel, sorry for the previous post. Does a full quarter panel include this? I'm guessing not.
Probably a junk yard part. There's a company (don't know the name), that converts coupes to fastbacks, I'll bet they have a pile of those parts and most in descent shape.

Yup that is the part. I think I can repair this one with a little TLC you might not even notice it.

Thanks
