Only one brake light is working...

Only the passenger sides works i have no power through out the wire and its has completely baffled me. I made some led tail light and both worked before i put them in so the rational me put the regular bulbs back in and still only one side works. Iv swapped the led panels and still only the passenger side works no matter what. All fuses are in tact and iv replaced the brake light switch

Are all the connections clean? Maybe the ground is bad in the trunk. There might be a junction in that harness in the driver side footwell if you take the kick panel off, I can't remember for sure tho.

Hmmm, I think the brake lights run through the steering column, I'd check that plastic connector at the bottom, that always gives me fits in my car

I had the same problem in my 66. Traced it all the way to a pinched wire in the turn signal cancel switch.

Crazy right? I messed with the one brake light issue for years thinking it was the connector on the tail lamp itself. Never even considered it was in the steering column.

Yeah well i was looking at my wiring and saw the brakes are operated by the same wire as the turn signals and all the other wires are brand new so I figured it had to be that but it is a pretty crappy design
