Tranny problems.

Not that kind....

Anyways I'm in the never ending circle of problems. My newest one is my transmission feels as of its down shifting by its self. If I'm driving down the road normally when i hit 35-45 it feels like some one is hitting my brakes hard. The transmission shifts fine from starts and stops no problem. Fluid is full and not burnt. Any ideas?? Im completely stumped i thought maybe the shift modulator? But i don't really want to just start throwing parts at it if i don't have too

Mine did that right before it self destructed.... Adjust the bands per fords specs. It sounds like it's trying to shift into 2nd and 3rd at the same time. Check the fluid running in park after you take it for a substantial drive and get a lot of heat in it

If I read you right, it sounds like a problem I was having. Going up hills, it felt like the trans was slipping, and when it caught it would lurch forward, then alternate slipping and catching.

My filter wasn't properly seated onto the trans. Once that was seated and fluid at the right level, no issues.

Hopefully it's something like this - at least it's something to check.
