I6 swap to 302 - looking for some advice
Continued post from last fall. I have removed the front clip, welded up the frame, removed the suspension, eng, tranny. Next step, installing a TCI r&p steering with disc brakes...buying their advertised package. The plans for the car - was a daily driver 85 - 2000 and has been stored since. Planning to add a modern driveline 5 speed.
The weakest part of my game is engine decisions. Looking to leverage some smarter folks. Here are the questions I can use some help with:
Qa1 Looking at a couple long block engine provider..? Seems right? Suggestions a good supplier?
QA 2. If I buy a long block, what is the best way to develop a shopping list of the other parts required to fire the beast.
QA 3 wondering about EFI. By the time I offset carb, fuel system, electronics, the $1500 price tag comes isn't so bad. Thoughts.
