I might be in the minority, but I've never been a fan of the CS/mile high special editions. They're cool because of the relative rarity, but I don't know if I'd go out of my way for the look. If he's willing to sell, you could try it in for size, and sell it if you're not thrilled (of course the fender end caps would be off).

I kinda like em' I've been eyeing a few lately and thought of adding to my upgrade list. Just not sure what all is involved in mod? I'm sure you have to modify the quarter panel extensions but what about the actual tail?

I like it! I'm sure there's mods involved but worth it.

If you want the tail lights then you'd have to get the whole panel and cut/weld the new one in and you get new quarter panel extensions that have the lip in it. If keep my stock tail lights tho you think it would improve this? Im still can't make up my mind if goes with my car Click image for larger version

The taillights? Naw I meant the wing, fin, CS tail on the trunk lid...the tail lights look the same. I just wondered if had to custom build fin or if bolt on kit available? Lot of guys I know with late model GT have removed the fin..of course those are all Fastback body style too

I really don't like the look myself. Sort of looks like it is missing something like an eat at joes sticker(-; With your stripping I would stay stock.

mustangproject.com sells these if you wanted to finish it off. I think the CS had the Cougar style though. http://www.mustangproject.com/Links/nj8f1362_std.jpg

You don't have to cut out the stock taillight panel

Hmm I'm a little confused with your question. For the little wing on the trunk lid you buy all new parts with the fin on them already. The end of the quarter panel are removable so no cutting or anything is required
