Should I paint gas tank?

I am installing a new steel gas tank on my 70. It is the floor of the trunk and I was wondering if I should paint it or leave it bare steel?

Unless it's the stainless tank, I'd paint/undercoat it. I will be using Raptor Liner on mine.

Before you put bed liner on it take a look at this stuff. I am doing the entire inside of my car with it.

About Al's Liner Heat and Noise Reducer

That looks pretty good. When I finally get around to putting in the 22 gallon fuel tank in my 67, I'll probably do something similar. It's been sitting in my garage for about 9 months. I don't like the way those original trunk kits look. They look cheap, car isn't original anyway.

Thanks! Yea I'm not a fan of the plaid or any color trunk mat. Gonna put some dynamat or some sort of sound dampening material over it and cover it up with a sub box anyway, LOL
