Rockauto has them.
And there is a Rockauto discount code in the General Mustang forum.

I just checked rockauto and I only see the 1 barrel carbs that fit my car. The stock one I have in there now is 2 barrel

The '82 had a 1V stock. Actually, all straight sixes in mustangs have had a 1V. Can you post a pic of the carb you have?

Yes. You must have an aftermarket carburetor.
Those engines came from the factory with a Holley 1946 single barrel carburetor.

Made a mistake it actually is a one barrel carb I was going by what someone told me because I bought it recently and just kept it in the garage without going over it before I left for vacation.

Anyway since its a single barrel carb is it possible to buy a double barrel carb and putting it on the stock manifold using an adaptor or am I hoping for too much?

I was trying to see if your intake is intergraded with your head? Do you know if it is? Either way check out this website

Yep. All of the 200/250 heads have an integral intake. Travis is right. Go to Classic Inlines. Great stuff. Not much demand though so 6 cylinder stuff is expensive
