I prefer the body color perimeter rather than having the large black stripe. It also keeps it from feeling like it should continue over the top like racing stripes. Keep us posted!

That's what I'm thinking too.

I'm thinking of using the raised lines of the hood the 10-12 cars have, just outside the bulge that are prominent at the front but fade at the windshield as the lines for the black. That leaves a nice red stripe on the outside.

What about the nose of the hood. I have the cervini heat extractor the the lines are a little different but I was thinking of following those lines as well. The only trouble is figuring out where to start it on the nose.

Yeah that's a tough one. I've seen it wrapped around the nose and seen it left an inch short or so, like the pic you posted. Either way looks good. I'm going to mock it up using blue painters tape to see what I prefer on my car.

I'm going to have our marketing intern play around with it on Photoshop and see what he comes up with.

If he is a car guy, then it sounds like a win/win!

He's a motorcycle guy who respects the muscle car. Close enough. lol. He's a good kid. And he gets a kick out of the idea of helping his boss doing a little side work. Stay tuned fellas. I dropped the car off at the shop yesterday morning to have the hood painted red. Should be finished Tuesday. I'm going to snap some pictures, have him mock up some ideas and I'll post them for my crowdsourcing votes.

Hood is red now. Next step is to have a black vinyl graphic put down. That won't be until April. There is a shop in the area that wraps cars and does custom work.

The only thing it needs now is an altitude adjustment, it would look great lowered an inch or so

Agreed. I've been thinking about it, however the foot of my driveway is a raised curb. Not sure if this would create clearance issues.

Hi, I'm curious about the hood with the heat extractors (functional?). Where can I find this hood? Thanks

Ooh that might be a problem. Do you know how close to scraping you are now?

Heat extractors are functional. Hood is the cervini heat extractor hood.

If I go straight in our out I scrape the front chin. If I go at an angle I don't scrape anything.
