8.8 in a 65 mustang

Hey guys havent posted in a very very very long time. Im currently installing a fox 8.8 into my 65 coupe and was wondering if anyone has done this and what you did? Its a 3.55 posi rear with 5 lug conversion from a sn95. Currently ive got the brakes done, axle seals, brackets, etc, only things remaining are the companion flange to U joint and welding leaf spring perches onto the housing. what is the correct pinion angle set at?

Right now I have 1 inch spacers on the rear which bring it out to about 60" and the new 8.8 is 60" so it should fit in theory with my wheels. Still have to measure the trans angle

Sound like a good match to me...I have never used spacers as they are not legal in NHRA or SCCA racing...I guess for the street they may be ok although 1" of extra metal is a lot...IMHO
Just remember that the angle of the tailshaft of the trans and the pinion shaft angle should be equal....if the transmission tail shaft is at a -3 degrees then the rearend pinion shaft angle should be +3 degress...just a good rule of thumb to go by.
