Need help with a fan motor!!!!!!!

Ok, so I just replaced the radiator fan motor on the wifey's car( 2000 Hyundai Elantra) . It still won't cut on when it should. The ONLY time it will cut on, is when I turn on the A/C....at that point, BOTH fans cut on. WTF is going on here? Any Ideas? Possibly the temp sender? But if the temp sender was bad, wouldn't the temp gauge not work correctly?

Re: Need help with a fan motor!!!!!!!

I had this SAME problem with my Sunfire. We eventually had to hook it up to a switch because we replaced the motor, and all that. We never did figure out what happened before it got totalled. Wish I was more help to you. ):

Doubt that's the prob.....it DOES run....but only when I turn on the A/C. Gonna take it to the shop this afternoon or in the morn to have the cat checked, si I'll get him to look at that too, I guess.

Re: Need help with a fan motor!!!!!!!

I had that problem with my last car. I can't remember what it was though.. As I re-call at the same point in time, I had the hoses re-placed and a new water pump put in.
