I'm sorry...but those things look sweet, especially cruising down the strip. You can never quite tell about a car until you get it in an environment like that. Now if only ford could get the ball rolling on a decent car.

What do you mean decent car? It's had one for 43 straight years

I mean something that's out now that will take on the camaro. The new mustangs have dissapointed me...they're nice but not my cup of tea.

I like it and I would enjoy it. It to me is much more in tune with my feelings than the new Mustang. If Ford had left the concept stang alone it would have been great. So now we will see if the Camaro changes much.

I really like it. There are a few minor styling adjustments I'd make...but the overall look of it is good.

The chopped look does it. You have this huge hood wide grill and this low roof line. And the fact the front bumper is tall and quite a bit of ground clearance compared to todays cars.

But I like it

If the front stays the same in the production models there will be a aftermarket valance or airdam out before the first cars hit the showroom

To much clearance for the performance and show minded modders out there.

Re: 5th Gen Camaro Cruises Woodward

I haven't decided if I like it or not yet. The view from the front is pretty badass (except for the slightly over-the-top shaped side mirrors). I think the wheels being too big is the main things that's throwing the side view off for me. Of course, I'm sure the production models aren't gonna be ridin' on 22s.

Re: 5th Gen Camaro Cruises Woodward

Production models will have bigger mirrors, smaller wheels (18-19"? Maybe 17"?), and probably a higher roofline.

Geez, I have to admit it looks nice now. It's got a futuristic taste to it, I'm glad they didn't just hop on the retro train like other people are doing because of the Mustang's retro look

Hopefully they do a better job on the production model. Those wheels are hideous

Re: 5th Gen Camaro Cruises Woodward

I think the car is hideous as well...but hopefully they do put a lot of effort into designing the front. I would hate to have to look at some ugly POS in my rear view all the time.

Re: 5th Gen Camaro Cruises Woodward

I wonder how drastic it will change though... you can never tell with all the new safty things they have to meet.

Ford has done what it has wanted to, the mustang beat the camaro where they wanted it to. It made them more profit than the camaro did etc etc... they didnt even have to make it faster... but they should have...

I don't like the mirrors, they don't flow with the rest of the car.

But then neither do space fairies on the moon...

Re: 5th Gen Camaro Cruises Woodward

i dont know, for me personally its a "eh" deal. not great not horrible, i will be interested to see what she can do. but i do love the retro look, i personally believe pony cars from the late 60s were some of the hottest cars ever built along with things like the 1970 chevelle (cutlass, skylark) as well as chargers (**** challangers). but i think it could be purty, we will see where they end up going with it.

I agree the classics are some of the hottest cars ever produced, but I think this whole retro junk just shows the total lack of imagination that exists in the US auto industry. Dodge, all their offerings looks the same. Chevy, :tired: zzzzzzzzz. Ford, throw back as well...next thing you know they will retro the F150 to look like the F100...Even when a car maker does design something, it ends up boring looking or just odd (new F series looking big and bulky vs the 97-current redesign)

I think the US automakers need to import some designers that are will to take risks and do something new. Ford has one...the guy that did the Ford GT...but he only copied and tweaked the original. I do think he has potential to do some great work though after hearing his thought processes on the GT redo.
