New GM Concept Trucks

2006 SEMA: GM Trucks - MSN Autos

I love all three. The "Big Red" is just awesome to look at, but is a bit underpowered IMO. however the "427" is awesome all around. OCC one is eh, just your standard bling'd silverado IMO, but at least it has some getup.

Nice to see GM getting back into the higher end truck game thats been owned primarily by the Lightning and SRT10 and youre run of the mill Smoker (Big Lifted Cummins and F350's that emit plumes of smoke when they try to go fast).

Re: New GM Concept Trucks

I'm really failing to see what the **** Dale Earnhardt Jr. has to do with a big-*** truck.

Oh... I see. He's an "offroad enthusiast". Sounds fitting for him.

Anyone else, I'd just call a "guy who likes offroading".

Re: New GM Concept Trucks

aren't trucks supposed to haul ****? i fail to see the relevance of a pretty truck. sure they look nice, but those damn things will never see a dirt road or a pile of scrap metal in the bed. to me it's a waste.

I am glad someone is of the same mindset as me. A truck is meant to be beat to hell. Ask anyone who was ever around my truck. It was used as a truck, dents, scratches, i beat the **** out of it, and it loved it!

Re: New GM Concept Trucks

my first truck was a 79 GMC 5/8 ton heavy half. it was piss yellow with rust spots all over it. i called it the urinary tract infection. there wasn't one thing set nicely in the bed.

No they can't. I don't know why dodge did that. Actually, I do. They wanted to build the fasted production truck, which they did. I don't think I would ever buy one, as badassed as they are, for the same reason I wouldn't buy a lightning. I won't buy a truck to be fast, I buy a truck to haul and tow and beat the hell out of on and off road. If I want to go fast, I'll buy a car of some sort.

An L has full towing and hauling capacities. Many are used to haul cars to/from tracks...and other various work trailers and such. My fav is the fact that the SRT only has like a 250 pound payload capacity...hell, I couldn't even ride in the back of that bad boy without over loading it. :lame:

Yeah, but neither are ever going to be good off the road at all. When I buy a truck, I want ground clearance and 4wd... Like I said, I think all that Dodge cared about was making a fast *** truck, to hell with it actually doing truck ****.
