In some shape or form. It is going to be the base engine by 2013 or 2014 for 80% to 85% of Fords vehicles according to Ford. From what I heard and Ive experienced with the 3.5 EB in the SHO they are really great engines.
Ford is putting the 3.5 EB in the F150 next year (not as base engine as the 3.7L V6 will be) the 2.0 EB in the 2012 Focus 2012 Fusion and Australian Ford Falcon. Then they will have a three cylinder EB in the Fiesta.
They want to put them as an option to see how they do then throw them as the base engine to get all the bugs out and better fine tune them.
All Ford has to do is offer AWD and a six speed manual along with the EB technology to make it more sporty.
