I was reading an article about the urban legends with rapists pretending to be undercover cops and I thought the Mustang photos looked sweet.

Re: Undercover Cop Mustang

That's sweet. Just driving by you would never notice those lights in the windshield or under the mirrors.

My favorite thing is how the foglights are police colors when on.

It's really stealthy looking. that's my favorite part too. I would never expect a Mustang to pull me over. If that one did I would probably be in awe at first.

Re: Undercover Cop Mustang

although, looking at the photos, doesn't look like they can transport anyone, so if you take someone into custody, another officer would have to show up to do so, seems kinda pointless other than doing stealth road patrol

Re: Undercover Cop Mustang

That is sweet looking, a state trooper around here has a fox that is very stealth looking its black with black saleens and he has his fog lights setup that way. Only way to tell its a cop is the official tag on the back.

I like how he pulled over a Caddilac. I would pray that he likes Mustangs.
There was a story about a lady who hit a Mustang patrol car, in her Mustang a few days ago. See the link. kptv.com - Image

Re: Undercover Cop Mustang

you need to know your state laws before you decide to stop...or not to stop for red and blues....lmao!!! you cant do a traffic stop in an unmarked car in ohio..but you could get pulled over by a stealth, or even an acura integra in kentucky or indiana (i've seen it). you should call 911 and talk to an operator and ask for verfication.. that way you dont catch a failure to stop..or fleeing eluding/evading. those undercover stangs are in service in several states.

like meteorachic says...plan on getn cited..them guys dont do transport, they gotta pay for them hotrods, itsa revenue based department..not enforcement...lmao!!!!

I hate State Troopers. With a passion. I have yet to meet one that wasn't a complete dick. I am not talking during traffic stops either.

Re: Undercover Cop Mustang

that impersonation cr** is no urban legend. It happened in my hometown when I was younger to a family that lived across the road from my grandparents farm. The wife was coming home from town at night and a Bronco pulled her over with the flashing lights. It turned out to be a group of young punks who shot and killed her. They eventually found them (out of state no less). I will never pull over for an unmarked car unless I'm in a very public place and/or get confirmation from the phone.

Whoa... That's awful!
The article I was reading was about it being an urban legend but I've seen it happen on Forensic Files.

and that is the exact reason y you cant do a traffic stop in an unmarked cruiser in ohio.

just fyi though, i have had people call 911 to confirm car stops....when they were getting pulled over by a marked vehicle

don't hesitate to call, we have stealth cars here too. but do us all a favor, PULL OVER and don't continue driving cause then the cop is going to think you are trying to take off, which is going to get you into a heap of trouble. i once had a guy argue with me about getting pulled over. i told him about 453290523 times to pull over and he still didn't. he got a nice surprise once the car was stopped when they had to treat it as high risk

In the words of Jim Carrey from "Liar Liar": STOP BREAKING THE LAW *******. 99.9% of ppl i know who hate cops are pissed cause they keep getting busted. I think it childish that you even gloat your ignorance withthat crap on you glass. Yes, there are bad cops. Grow up and realize that for every bad one there are ten others making up for it.

Again, lack of knowledge. Those are called "drug seizures." If you a police dept can afford to buy, mod, tune, etc., a car like that you're nuts.

Then use Undercover cops to take down thugs, criminals and trash instead of writing traffic tickets.

Here is a thought: Sell the cars instead of making them gas guzzling patrol cars.
