Do you name your Mustang or no?

Do you name your car or do you think it's stupid to do so? If you do, is it a "she"? maybe the Mistress?

I know we have had a thread about this before but I thought I would write an article about this based on the info I receive. I want to see how everyone views their Mustang.

I've tried to name my car but I'm not satisfied with the names I've given it because they aren't original. First, it was Boss. Then it was Bullitt. Now it has no name again. I think of my car as a man. I think the gender of the car mainly depends on the color of it. If my car was red or blue, i'd say it was a girl. But silver or black make it a man. Just my opinion.

Mine is Layla, obviously.

My first '01 black V6 Mustang was my first Mustang and started my obsession. I named her Layla after Clapton's song which supposedly means "dark and beautiful" (written about an Arabian princess in disguise to George Harrison's wife)

It stuck on this one, too. I have named most of my cars.

Yes I always name my mustangs. All mustangs are females! My newest one's name is playdough because when I brought it home my 4 year old daughter said my grabber blue mustang looked like blue play dough, so the name stuck.

In the Jeep world, and I know this isn't a Jeep site, but in the Jeep world, you don't name your Jeep. It gets named by your buddies because of an incident or something similar to that. I understand it is different, just thought I would share that little tidbit.

I haven't been able to think of a name for my car. And I do see it as a female, not sure why I just do...

Yep. My nickname is Bullitt, given to me because of what I drive. TTILLUB (titty-lub) is my cars name. It was given to me because that was on my license plate and my buddy came up to me and said what the hell is a titty-lub, lol.

Re: Do you name your Mustang or no?

I named my baby Adrian because I was going through a Rocky movie phase at the time and it just stuck
lol

I think the gender of the car goes with the feeling it gives off
but Ive mainly met stangs that are named after girls
like my fiances car whose name is Krystina

My '85 was Black Sunshine, and my '84 was The Musclestang. Haven't really come up with anything for the Cobra, but I do consider them to be female, as I'm always referring to them as "her".

I haven't...just refer to them as color or year.

As in...let's take the blue car, or let's take the 90, etc
