Cobra R's

Picked up a set of 17'' Cobra R wheels for the vert today. If it wasn't dark I'd take a pic. It's supposed to be like 70* here tomorrow, so I'm going topless again for a little driving, and will post new pics tomorrow! Just thought I'd share the good news!

Re: Cobra R's

Some ****ty pics but you get the idea! The reason it looks like there is so much fender gap on the rear is because its kinda sitting crooked. The other side is kinda tucking. Never had Cobra R's on a Fox, but I'm very happy with the look. They are in exceptional shape, but I'll need some tires pretty soon.

Nope not genuine, just some knockoffs, but they are really nice! Got em for a steal, and couldn't pass em up! Probably sell the Ponies I have now for about what I got these for.

I love chrome. I was thinking of some on my car but I really like the way it looks now. More like satin than gloss. I would love to find a pair of those tho. I would wreck em real quickly tho. I have 10 5 spoke 17 inch ponies here. 4 are to beat on,2 for drag radials and 4 for showing off.

My girl cooked mine. Then when I drove with her I saw she had her foot on the clutch while driving. Riding it down the highway at 70. Wtf

That ****in sucks!
These will be welded on this week. I still can't believe with everything that's done to this car that these are not. BBK's.

I got a lot of that under mine. My car is very rigid. Jack up the front wheel and the rear comes up too. That thing is stiff.

Yeah, the Fox chassis cars were never meant to be convertibles.

But I've heard that the SN cars were originally designed as verts, then a hardtop was added. Not sure how true that is?

My new flywheel. This is one bad baby... I am so excited. I put on my pp plenum today. I got a bbk cai for 20 bucks so I figured I would install that too but the bolts that attach the maf to the pipe are missing. I am looking at this thing and I shouldn't have wasted my 20 bucks. There is no gain to be had. The stock air intake is the same thing but the bends are more gradual. I think I am gonna sell it. The only plus is that it's really shiny. And I can put a massive amsoil air filter on it. Cai. What a joke. Oh well. Anyways I thought I would show off the flywheel. Anyone have any thoughts on the holes in it. I am gonna assume it's to prevent warping. They do similar stuff with saw blades

I am not sure. It's aluminum. I guess I will find out when he ships it. It's listed as a ford 8 bolt modular aluminum flywheel. I will google it right now

How much did they hit you for it. Might be throwing one of those in too.

Brand new from a civilian tho was 200 plus shipping. I got him to include clearing customs and all tariffs for 250. But I just found that exact flywheel for 299.00 thru google. So I guess I am up.... I wonder how it will engage with less rotational mass. And drivability.

Re: Cobra R's

And instead of making a new thread, I'm picking up a set of black seats to replace the ones in the Cobra. The driver seat was in bad shape. This is the last thing I needed to make her show ready! The Cobra will be officially done today!
