Allstate Insurance

Anyone with All State? I am with State Farm right now, but I am thinking about giving All State a shot. All my stuff is expiring at the same time and I figured I might could get a better package deal switching now.

Right now I have:

2003 Mustang GT Vert
2000 Saturn LS
Renters Insurance

I had two tickets last year, so that will come up. (Thanks Saleen). Other than that I haven't had an insurance claim or wreck since I was 18 (2004).

Just wanted to get some feedback from those that have them and how they like them.

Re: Allstate Insurance

It doesn't hurt to get a few quotes. I've got State Farm, I feel they are on average a little higher than others. I've heard Allstate is quick to drop you when an issue arises, I don't know for sure. Definitely get some quotes and go back to your State Farm agent and try to negotiate a new premium.

Re: Allstate Insurance

Been with allstate since I started driving.

Currently have all the cars and the house with them. I also have my agent's cell phone number and he takes care of me. All sorts of discounts you can be eligible for.

I'll put it this way, at 21 the cobra cost me $86 a month through them. After adding multiple vehicles, getting married, etc, it's alot less. Sheer number is what makes ours so much lol.

Re: Allstate Insurance

I've got Allstate. Been with them for 20+ years. I had 2 very minor accidents & 2 tickets when I was 18-20. Insurance went up but I wasn't dropped. No problems getting paid. I've had 2 tickets over the last 6 years. I paid big insurance surcharges at court to avoid/reduce points. It didn't affect my premiums though...

brent i have progressive and i LOVE it

i had my accident on a holiday weekend. they had me a rental car within 12 hours of the accident, my car checked within 48, and a check for repairs within 72.

i will never switch just based on the way they handled their accident claims.

I love state farm and won't leave. It helps I go to church with my agent, and he is a good guy and helped us out a lot when we got married, getting everything put together and figuring out the best policies for us.

I will take a look at Progressive. Thanks. I really don't need a lot of protection. Just enough to cover the Mustang if it gets totaled and my fault.

Brent, I just opened a policy with Allstate Idemnity and got quoted under 400 for a six month policy but that's gloved around my driving record so. Givum a shot bro,Yah got nuttin' to lose.Other cheap policies are Geico and AIG now called Farmers.Progressive is an arm and a leg plus an eye!State Farm? Too expensive for me man...Considering that 2 tickets? GOOD LUCK!!
Best choice is GEICO everyone else will absorb you.

In Saskatchewan we have government insurance. Tickets don't matter for insurance. They ding you on licence renewal

It's only sask and Newfoundland that have government insurance. Well bc too. The other provinces are privatized. And we are on a points systems. When you renew your licence it's 25 bucks a point. If you get 20 you gotta take a course

Ontario sucks. I was 17. I had an 83 cutlass supreme. I paid 650 for the car. My insurance was 2800 a year. My insurance on my mustang is 300 a year and 300 a year for my truck. And no sniffer

Wow that system rocks Everett. I just got quoted 597/6months from Geico. That is without my Renters insurance. Will see what Progressive and Allstate do for me.

I really like the no sniffer laws. Sask only has a million people in the whole province so air quality is not a concern. And the cops only seem to bug the ricer crowd about their cars. The domestics seem to get away with more. Those fart cans are pulled over all the time

Been with state farm for a long time. I'll never change as they give me many discounts!

Re: Allstate Insurance

Horrible driving record (too many motorcycle tickets lol and only one accident in my old Ranger, declared not at fault) and I have Progressive. For my record the price was the lowest I could find. Look into automatic drafting from your account as well. It was another discount. Plus multiple vehicles you get discounted on as well

I'm surprised that you aren't with USAA. I've had a ton of tickets and haven't seen my rates go up.

I have Progressive as well and my driving record was not good for a long time. I love them, too.

I have insurance on my bike for the track...sounds weird prob. I put prob 4k into my motorcycle and it covers all aftermarket products for the track on my motorcycle, its about $500 for full coverage plus that. USAA doesn't offer it.

So when this happened if something would've broken I wouldn't have been screwed lol

dust cloud was me lol

I have state farm for my 3 cars and the house~ I keep them because I know the guy that I go through and have never had any issues in claims... which is a big thing. If you pay less but get NO coverage and get shafted whats the point? All State has a good rep though.

Well Allstate is out of the running. Just got a quote and it was 142.00 a month for two cars and renters insurance. This was with one ticket on my record from September 2010.

I can't believe USAA don't offer it. We have them for everything. Renters and car insurance and life for me and valuables along with our bank account. We get a killer deal. 180 month. My stang and my hubby's 09 jeep wrangler. It raised my insurance 20 bucks to put the stang on there and we both have perfect driving records. Lol go figure

It's all a numbers game man. It's amazing the price difference you can get from companies for no real reason. I still don't understand why a GT is more to insure than a Cobra for liability...
