97 mustang gt hp

I have a 97 gt with 2001 4.7 in her, it has working ram air hood, trick flow throttle body, flowmasters, and getting ford racing intake manifold put in as I type. What kind of hp am I sitting at?

You have a 4.6 and you have 220 at the crank. I suggest finding a pair of heads of of a 99-04 engine. That will put you at 270 crank hp

K then you might have 270 at the crank. It's tough to get power out of these motors. Long tubes, bigger plenum and tb...don't get bigger than a 70mm or it slows down the velocity of the intake air charge

Doesn't help. The plenum is the real restriction in the intake side. And the plastic pi intake manifold flows awesome right outta the box

Buy a tuner. It's bloodless, painless hp. I have an sct 3015. Awesome device. And aren't longer runners better for top end. These motors already pull awesome up top. They need more torque. If it's already in tell us how well it performs. That will be the true test. And let us know if your happy with it.

Re: 97 mustang gt hp

That is a good looking car with the wheels and hood set up. Going to be a nice ride when you are done with your added items.
