Rubber

Hello forum. K I got the stocker 17 inch ponys on my baby and I want to get everyones take on their EXPERIENCE with different brands and types. I already have drag radials for the track so I am looking for a sticky set of rears that are good in the rain. Any and all opinions would help me shopping. And price really doesn't matter,I am looking for the best bang for my buck. And I am planning on 275/40r17s. Also do dot legal drs corner well. I drive at excessive speeds on the highway and am looking for a pair of rears that will handle sustained speeds of over 100 mph. Thanks forum.

Re: Rubber

Right now I'm running Continentals on the Cobra and BFG's on the Shelby and honestly...........I kind of like the Continentals better....the tread wear on the Continentals are worse than the BFG's but the traction isn't bad for the money...but I'm kind of wondering where to go after this set on each too...

Who makes the continentals. Treadwear really isn't a concern for me. At the stupid speeds I drive at I need something sticky and stable. I was thinking nitto or sumis but I want to hear everyones experiences. I have 3 pairs of rims. 1 pair is for the Hoosiers and the track then the other 2 pairs are for some good stickys. I appreciate your post and if you can think of any more info to add that would be great

And the nitto drags are fantastic for cornering but not for any water at all.

So al...which do you suggest from the link you provided. I don't need an all season tire, just summer....and I got payments so 400 bucks a tire is out of the question. Give me some thoughts

The proxy 4 should do great in water but in the snow I think your still screwed. I run toyo on both of my suv's. Great product. Proxy ST on my tahoe. 295/45/18. Awesome wet or dry.

Snow is irrelevant. My girl ain't the winter ride. I just need something that won't slide or hydroplane when wet and stick like glue at high speed. Thanks again al

Re: Rubber

everyones's right the Nitto DR arent to good in the rain ,but the regular nt555 arent bad ,
I've switched to Falken's ZE512's not a drad radial ,but good traction on launch, on the street anyway , pleasantly surprised with these tires and for $114 each ,can't beat 'em

Re: Rubber

I used some Mich Pilots as my DD on the 04 Cobra and they performed well in the rain. They were also very sticky..
