Wanna re paint my car within the next month. I know nothing about this. I wanna do all the sanding my self. What steps do I take first and what grade sand paper do I use ect. Any info will be grateful

I am not sure of allthe right steps other than I know the prep work is key to a good job. May be worth just paying a shop to do it right for you. In the end it may cost you more to do it on your own if you mess things up that need to be fixed later again.

If you're getting a shop to paint the car, have them do the prep work. Most shops will frown upon getting a car in that is already prepped and will blame any blemishes and failures on the person who did the prep.

If you really want to go through with this then start researching. You'll need about $100 in sand paper and alot of time. If there are body spots that need repair the price will only go up from there.
